Breaking the cycle of poverty, one family at a time  

Countless people throughout the world are stuck in a perpetual cycle of poverty. Though the parents are working hard to make a living, the meager wages they earn are not enough for them to support their large families. This difficult situation often results in parents taking their young children out of school so they could work and support the family. These children grow up, and come to the age where they have their own families, but without a proper education, they are left with the same fate as their parents, working difficult jobs with little pay. And the cycle continues...

HRO gives interest-free loans to individuals who are motivated to break out of the poverty cycle. Loans are offered for opening shops, buying machinery, repairing homes, push carts for street vending and other business needs that can help them stand on their own feet. By doing so, HRO hopes to keep families intact and the children in school.

The recipient of the loan is required to return the money in full over a pre-defined period of time. The same funds are then re-used for other individuals with similar needs. The nice thing about this project is that unlike other social welfare programs, your contributions may be used multiple times – allowing you to earn more rewards.
